Don Kody is the first prize winner of Mass Appeal’s “Rhythm Roulette” Contest in collaboration with legal sampling entity Tracklib. His winning track was selected by seasoned Grammy-nominated producer Rockwilder (Erick Sermon, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguliara , etc.) in which he was flown out to IMI Studios NYC for a session as well. Kody also received a call from Inspecktah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan informing him that not only his beat placed but Method Man & Redman are also recording verses for the song. Kody has also teamed up with accomplished songwriter/producer Rufus Blaq (Omarion, Faith Evans, Angie Stone, Destiny’s Child and more). As a duo they landed a placement with World of Dance’s U-Jam Fitness for use in a choreography routine and work on unannounced projects. In addition to those efforts, Don Kody has been releasing a stream of instrumental projects to the DSPs totally bypassing the crowded beat marketplaces like Beatstars and Airbit for showcasing beats.
